Miami Bryce

In preparation for the season, the syndicate packed up all 13 bike boxes and a sprinter full of gear and headed out to Lousa in Portugal for some pre season testing.
In a top secret underground lab in china, Santa Cruz had made some sick new bikes for us to ride this year, the new carbon v10!
It took a bit of dialing in, but its so much quicker! I tested loads of different settings and was so excited on how it was working, after two solid days of testing Rob decided day three was race day so suddenly things got a bit serious! The long and short of it is that Steve showed us he still got it and put a few seconds into me Greg and Cedric who were all on the same second in the 2:49 and Greg ended up wearing a dress for the night!

Next thing, we headed down to Lisbon for the street race, the track was similar to last year but on the morning of the race it pissed down leaving us all unsure whether we would be riding or not!
It was pretty dangerous but i wasn’t expecting to race so i was just cruising down having a laugh!
Next thing i knew they were sending us up the hill for qualifying, so i just did another steady one as not to hurt myself, somehow i ended up 4th!!
I had a little think and decided i was going to put a good one down since the prize money was half right, anyway i didn’t get far before i went arse over tit on this stupid wooden 90 degree turn and landed flat on my head! That was my lisbon downtown over and i got ready to head home for a bit of R&R before the first world cup this weekend!
Really excited to get going down Maribor on the carbon… i’ll let you all know how it goes!!
